Chances are very good that the Supreme Court will announce its decision in the controversial gun control case, McDonald v. Chicago, on Monday, the very day the Judiciary Committee opens its hearing on the Justices' likely new colleague. It's all good, though, because the opening day is typically just senatorial bloviating, and nothing really interesting happens anyway.
