No crim. in debate (well, hardly any)

A transcript of last night's debate is here.  No actual criminal law issues came up.  A tangentially related issue was illegal immigration, on which Rick Perry came off as the liberal.
But if you say that we should not educate children who have come into our state for no other reason than they've been brought there by no fault of their own, I don't think you have a heart. We need to be educating these children, because they will become a drag on our society.
Yep.*

He also spoke of putting "aviation assets on the ground."  As one former Air Force officer to another, that was a gaffe.  You're supposed to put aviation assets in the air.  But everyone who speaks extemporaneously in public has a gaffe or two to his credit (or debit).  I have my share.  No, I'm not going to tell you what they were.

* My individual opinion.  CJLF takes no position on immigration issues.

BTW, although Perry is the front-runner nationally, Rasmussen Poll has Romney way ahead in critical New Hampshire, where he has the next-door-neighbor advantage.
