Serial killer Angel Maturino Resendiz, also known as the “Railroad Killer” will be executed this evening in Texas. Resendiz, who was once on FBI’s Most Wanted List has been linked to 15 murders throughout the country and will be the 13th execution of the year for Texas. Read the full AP story here.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports that a federal district judge has issued a temporary restraining order against enforcement of a law that forbids registered sex offenders from living within 1000 feet of a school bus stop.

The UN Office on Drugs and Crime "warned that cannabis was now considerably more potent than a few decades ago and said it was a mistake to dismiss it as a 'soft' and relatively harmless drug.
