Among the cases listed in Friday's conference post, the Court granted certiorari in Melendez-Diaz, the lab report confrontation case, Sarausad on state-law issues and habeas, and Ice on Apprendi and consecutive sentencing. The Court denied certiorari in Bentley on confrontation and a child's abuse report. Also granted is a pro se petition in a Texas habeas case, Jimenez v. Quarterman, No. 07-6984.
