Fugitive Charged with Murdering New Jersey Police Officer:  The Star-Ledger (NJ) reports on the arrest of 19-year-old Jahmell Crockam, an alleged Bloods gang member charged with the murder of Lakewood (NJ) Police Officer Christopher Matlosz.  Crockam is accused of fatally shooting Matlosz on Friday afternoon, after the police officer approached him and asked a few questions.  Crockam fled the scene, but was arrested on Sunday morning 70 miles from the crime scene by a team of state and federal law enforcement officers.  Crockham was already wanted on a December arrest warrant for weapons offenses.

Feds Will Challenge Change of Venue in Loughner Case:  The Department of Justice will oppose a change in venue in the case against Jared Loughner, reports Greg Moran of the San Diego Union-Tribune.  Loughner's defense team and the presiding judge are located in San Diego, giving rise to speculation the trial will be moved to the southern California city.   

Detroit Serial Rapist on the Loose:  Police in Detroit are on the lookout for a serial rapist, accused of raping seven women and attacking an eighth since the beginning of January, reports Gina Damron and Elisha Anderson of the Detroit Free Press.  All of the women were between the ages of 17 and 33 and were attacked during the overnight and early morning hours.  Detroit Police Chief Ralph Godbee Jr. remains confident they will capture the attacker: "We are not going to let this monster cripple us."
