SCOTUS Takes Up Bank Fraud Case

The US Supreme Court today took up a case on the interpretation of the federal bank fraud statute, Loughrin v. United States, No. 13-316.  The question presented is:

Whether the Government must prove that the defendant intended to defraud a bank and expose it to risk of loss in every prosecution under 18 U.S.C. ยง 1344.
