Seung Min Kim reports for Politico:
The powerful panel officially agreed to delay the official committee vote on his nomination due to requests from Democrats, who said they wanted more time to review Sessions and the paperwork surrounding his nomination. The vote will now be Jan. 31, and his nomination will head to the Senate floor after that.* * *With support from Republicans, Sessions is expected to be confirmed when his nomination comes to the Senate floor, despite limited Democratic support.
Looks like Bill Otis owes me a beer.
I'm not sure what Senator Feinstein et al. expect to accomplish by delay. Thanks to Harry Reid's invocation of the "nuclear option" a few years back the Republicans can confirm Sen. Sessions without a single Democrat's vote if they need to.

Feinstein supported Holder, a guy who helped get a pardon for a fugitive from justice, and now has the vapors over Sessions. She is a partisan hack. No one who voted to confirm Holder can cast a principled vote against Sessions.
