Illegal Sentenced For Multiple Rapes: An Illinois judge has sentenced an illegal alien to 80 years in prison for the rapes of two women. Ted Sloik of the Chicago Tribune reports that 37-year-old Miguel Luna was ordered deported in 2012, but he was never removed. Three years later Luna attacked a woman running on a trail, beating and raping her. In 2016 he attacked another woman on the same trail. After his arrest, Luna confessed to raping a third woman, who died before his trial. Luna did not dispute the charges, but claimed that his abusive childhood mitigated his responsibility for the attacks.

No Consequence for cop who shot at unarmed, naked man: https://www.sfgate.com/bayarea/article/San-Francisco-DA-cites-concerns-but-13172885.php
Yet another entry indicating that crime is newsworthy for purposes of a "News Scan" on this blog only if it is committed by an "illegal." As a state prosecutor, I can attest (yet again) that a majority women are attacked and raped by men born right here in the U.S.A.
Demonizing immigrants appears to be one of this blogs main goals, despite the fact that immigrants are less likely to commit crimes than the native born and much less likely to commit crimes than members of the Trump administration and campaign staffs.
Of course, the reality of the scenario is far more complex than your depiction.
Of course, since the majority of people in this country were born in the USA, it stands to reason that the majority of rapists would be born here (althoughI would count the criminality of the offspring of illegals as relating to the problem of illegal immigration). What I think you miss is that a society depends on law and order, and part of that is being able to dictate the terms upon which people from without enter it. If those laws aren't enforced, then society is powerless to control that, and that's a democracy issue.
It is even worse when illegals commit violent crimes while here.
Demonizing immigrants? Fuzzy...there is a difference between illegal immigrants and legal immigrants you don't seem aware of. Notablogger...as a state prosecutor you more than anyone should be concerned about policies that allow drug dealers, human traffickers and sex offenders into the U.S. to commit crimes. If Mollie Tibbetts, or these rape victims were your daughters perhaps you might be persuaded that keeping the public informed on the impact of these polices was a good idea. For a blog focused upon law enforcement, I believe that the effect of such policies on law abiding Americans should be vigorously reported, and we will keep doing so, and leave the focus on white collar political prosecutions to others.
There is a difference, but both legal and undocumented immigrants commit crimes at a lower rate than the native born.

Even if you don't believe that is true the total number of crimes committed by the undocumented is very low given the size of the population relative to the US population. Thus, the out of proportion focus by this blot is, I think, rightly described as demonizing.
And of course, there are certain crimes you don't seem very concerned about.

Decenyevolves: It’s hard to take conservatives very seriously when they focus with such intensity on a handful of crimes committed by illegal immigrants in the same week that the President and those close to him are implicated in crimes that are a focus of national attention. Newt Gingrich gave the game away when he said the quiet part out loud today:
"If Mollie Tibbetts is a household name by October, Democrats will be in deep trouble," he told Axios in an article published Wednesday. "If we can be blocked by Manafort-Cohen, etc., then GOP could lose [the House] badly."

A completely irrelevant stat. We cannot deport citizens, so we have to put up with their crimes other than throwing them in prison.
None of that is a legitimate excuse for allowing illegal (the accurate term) immigrants into the country and allowing them to commit crimes. If they commit one crime a year, it is one that could have been avoided. Once again, people with a certain ideology have more loyalty to criminals than victims.
