I have long enjoyed the satire publication The Onion, but it does have a couple of drawbacks. One of them is the unrelenting leftward lean of the viewpoint underlying the satire. Conservative targets are regularly pummeled, sometimes deservedly and sometimes not, while juicy targets on the other side of the aisle that cry out for satire go unscathed.

The Sacramento Brie, which I just stumbled upon recently, looks like it may be a useful counterpoint to The Onion. The name is a takeoff on Sacramento's primary newspaper, the Sacramento Bee. I don't know who is behind it. Even the "About" page is satirical. But I wish them success.
