David Crary of AP has this story on the latest report from the Pew Center on the States:
"A crisis is a terrible thing to waste," said Susan Urahn, managing director of the Center on the States. "The economy opens a window of opportunity to do things that are not always easy to do."If anyone doubted that the Pew Center is an advocacy organization with an agenda behind its reports, that should settle the matter. With people losing their jobs, homes, and savings, the folks at Pew are giddy with glee that this opens an opportunity for them to push their soft-on-crime agenda.
