The defendants and the intervenors have now officially appealed the decision of the criminals' dream team (Judges Reinhardt, Henderson, and Karlton) to the Supreme Court. The dream/nightmare team's order denying a stay is here. (I have not uploaded the notices of appeal. They are perfunctory documents with little content.) Thompson's piece notes that the panel "scolded the administration...." The case now moves to a venue where Judge Reinhardt has been the scoldee more than once.
