Off topic but interesting -- it's always good to see a snarky commentator brought down.
K.C. Dermody has this column
at Yahoo News on Republican presidential candidates and history, using terms such as
"incredibly misinformed" and "completely dishonest." Dermody blasts
Romney for a comment about the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court's
decision on same-sex marriage, in which Romney refers to John Adams as
the author of the Constitution. Dermody says Romney needs a history
lesson, because Adams was in London when the United States Constitution
was being written, as indeed he was.
Just one problem, as James Taranto points out at the WSJ. Romney wasn't talking about the United States Constitution. The Mass. SJC decision was an "independent state grounds" case based on the Massachusetts Constitution. Guess who is the principal author of that document.
