Gettysburg Sesquicentennial

This week is the sesquicentennial of the Battle of Gettysburg, one of the pivotal events of American history.  George Will has this column at the WaPo.  Historian Allen Guelzo has this article at the WSJ.
Update (7/3):  Ilya Somin has this post at VC.  For many years after the war, controversy raged on the Confederate side as to who was to blame for the defeat.  Ilya offers us this nugget:

But the most insightful comment on this subject was made by General Pickett. Asked for his opinion on the reason for the Confederate defeat, he said "I always thought the Yankees had something to do with it." The people who turned back Pickett's Charge and the Confederate attacks of the previous two days deserve our gratitude on this anniversary.
